Today

Walking through each day not feeling a thing

Wondering what the next few days will bring

What you see is just a shell of my former person

There is always a feeling that it can only worsen

what's the best Taco truck place to stop in Modesto

I used to late night binge on 8th Street at Taco Trucks, but been a while. Some might be vegan friendly, as noted in Fuzio's review, might be needed, as I used to live with one. If you got a favorite Taco Truck burrito stop, carnitas, etc, let me know.

Perhaps Dilution, is the Solution, a bit of verse on water quality in Modesto

In recent months, articles have come up, as have issues before two City councils, Ceres and modesto for water filtration treatment discussion, to dillute or have that with a filter. Its related to air quality, but not smoking, but what to do about Heavy Metal, ....and our water. How I spent 9/11 5 years later, Jury duty

I woke up, posts on blogs all over the place up on 9/11 memoirs, memorials. I forgot to call in Sunday Night, as figured my day in court today. Turned out it was yesterday, and fortunately in time to avoid the fine if you don't show, but in this time of what rights do we have in our country, and what responsibilities do we have as citizens, and if under employed like me, what interesting job interview to look forward to, where both defense and prosecution might fire you in advance, if not the case settle out of court, than that summons so many of us bitch about, jury duty. Wouldn't you like to be on the eternal jury to judge the hijackers? Well so be it, jury duty, seemed an appropriate way to spend the day. I will say the coffee is good in the court house basement cafe, just doesn't stay open long enough. For those of you not familiar with their entertainment venue, there is a patio smoking section, and you'll likely watch Cosby or similar fare on the communal TV.

Open Mic Night at The Mainzer Theater!

We here at The Mainzer Theater had such a great success with our first Open Mic Night that we are going to be holding it again...almost every Tuesday! (Exceptions being holidays and a few other random weeks) The format is simple...each performer gets max 10 minutes on stage to do what they will, to express themselves through some form of art (Song, poem, guitar, comedy, rap, monolouge). The limitations are that a maximum of two performers on stage at a time (No bands), and no drum sets. Bongos, congas are alright though.
