Voting turn out was low yesterday in California as a whole but that was expected. The people spoke out against new taxes for roads, schools, police and fire.

In Stanislaus county many predictions came true. In the race for sheriff, Adam Christianson buried acting sheriff Mark Puthuff under 62 percent of the vote but according to The Bee, Puthuff seems to be having a bit of trouble letting go. The race for Sheriff was one that very closely watched as county citizens look for changes in the way that the department handles its workload.
