The Copper Rhino is out to prove that they are into live music and helping out local bands during these Thursday night Alternative Music shows. I'm going to try my best to get there and if you have never caught Built Like Alaska live, you should try to make it also.

Off The Air will be producing a stage of music at this year’s “Modesto Art and Wine Festival.� The “Off The Air Stage� will be located near the corner of 10th and J Streets and will feature many great local and out-of-the-area bands. Did I mention that children 16 and under are FREE!

Jim Fairchild, formerly of Grandaddy, has recently set forth on his own self-made sea of singing and songwriting. His new solo project is named All Smiles which has landed itself a deal on LA indie label “Dangerbird Records," home to artists such as Silversun Pickups, Peter Walker and La Rocca. Jim is coming back to Modesto from his new home in Chicago to play a single show at The Fat Cat Music House and Lounge on Thursday, November 30. Off The Air recently got the chance to do a short e-mail interview with him and you get to read it right now. Right now!
