Ryan's Relay is a 6-mile "team" event designed to raise money for the Ryan Hunter Dickerson Reading Tree.
Ryan - an avid reader and supporter of the library, died on July 29, 2007. Ryan's Reading Tree is a memorial that will add beauty to the Stanislaus County Library as well as create a magical place for children to explore the wonders of books and enhance their love of reading.

I haven't blogged here in a while since all the hubbub with Motown Mojo and the Bee. Looks like the site is still running and people are still about forming an online community.

SLaM on RyE continues this Wednesday, October 11th, 7:30pm at the Prospect Theatre, 520 Scenic Dr., Modesto, CA
Last month’s slam displayed a surge of new poets and new poems, new winners and more “sauce" than ever before. We expect more of the same this month as we plow head first into our best season yet, leading up to the ILL LIST: Poetry Slam Invitational, the biggest and best slam the valley has ever seen.
