Other things to look for our, the office of education doings, adoptable pet show chase, City of Modesto visitors bureau info, Modesto city council meetings, The Modesto planning commission, The Cancer Report, The Stanislaus Planning Commission, Modesto Crime Live and our Holiday Events/Parades. jdc104 artist profile is in the Modesto Bee this morning

I put a more detailed comment on my profile on KatnAnna's local choices site on my career in cartoons in Riverside. My friend, artist Penny Meyer, actually read in around 1981, the four to six issues of Running Fruit series from Ad Infinitum, my strip that ran for half a year in San Diego area, where I didn't get paid or even knew about it as published four years after last drawn, and had moved to Modesto. Someone recently emailed to confirm whether a underground comix zine from 1971 might be mine, it was my signature, but likely a publication by friend Jim Mitchell. Its a hazy, smokey memory of those days anyway, so any drawing I did might not come to memory, short term, or cough... likely why I haven't smoked more than cigars in a very long time now...

couple new things, and

I live downtown, and sometimes people catch me painting out on the front porch, like my mail man. This week, happened to have canvas and that box of acrylics I don't use too often, and .... well, they're new. So is the coffee mug cafepress.com spot I put up as I my sister needed some new geek friendly item at Stanford's HEPL lab, that isn't physics related. Chess player in family helps that along.

(Ralph) Burke Tyree, painter, found at Minnie's

One of the places my art hangs, on bar napkins downstairs, but in inks and watercolors in the old upstairs bar and hall area, is at Minnie's, where I've also done tee shirt and poster designs over the years for various events. It is also one of the places, the other would be the Tiki, where the works of Burke Tyree hang, paintings I enjoy looking at, and tonight after film society, got a chance to talk to Stuart Mah on a Tyree in distress.
