A couple of our favorite bands are playing an Off the Air show tonight at Deva Cafe on J Street in Downtown Modesto and we really hope that you can make it out to support them. Don't miss Travis Vick and others on July 25th

A while back I wrote about a Manteca based singer named Travis Vick and the impact that he has been having on our local music scene. At the tender age of 18, Vick already has over eight years of experience singing and playing various instruments including the piano, guitar, accordion, banjo, bass, mandolin, harmonica, ukulele, trombone, clarinet and drums.

Off the Air, short review

I've been framing pics today, for the Visually Impaired Persons Support Center show tomorrow, 9 am to 4 pm, had this sale to partner of one rejected from Spring Show, took the two back from last show, took in the three for Sping Show, tired of art I decided to take a break, see a real show, with art by Angry F on the walls. I'm working on my follow up to my letter to the editor of the Modesto Bee yesterday of the idea of that train and hwy 33 overpass into that park in Patterson in front of City Hall, like Bambi meets Godzilla and how to draw that one out..... so was ready from some time at DEVA. compare my shots to Efren J's.

If you want to experience this amazing band for yourself, come by Deva Cafe this Friday night. Rademacher will be here as part of another Off the Air show and that of course means that you are in for another great evening of art and music.

The wind and El Olio Wolof

Snow White (my trusty Chihuahua) and I have been cooped up here at home all week. The weather is crazy and I cannot risk getting a cold or flu or anything like that so we have been spending our days watching movies, reading and surfing the web. I may get out later this evening however if I feel like bundling up. One of my favorite bands will be in town and I usually try to catch them when they come around this way.
