May Day

In America May 1st is May Day, International Workers' Day, a day to celebrate the rights gained by our labor movement. In Modesto this year immigrants took to the streets to protect themselves from becoming felons. They called the day of protesting, 'A Day Without an Immigrant.' The protest here and others like it across the nation, big and small, were made up mostly of Mexican Immigrants. All immigrant shops were to be closed and boycott was raised on buying any goods.
