Here we go again...

It is close to five in the morning here and I can't seem to sleep. It is Monday Morning and a Holiday, but my family and I will not be enjoying any camping or boating today. Actually, maybe some of you would consider what my parents and I are doing right now to be camping, but I don't. I would much rather have awakened in the woods somewhere in the midst of the scent of pine or redwood.

World wide "LIGHTS OUT" tomorrow at 8pm-9pm in SF.

Modesto could do the same. Last year (when the event started) in Sydney by turning out the lights. for one hour, it was the equilvalent of not having 48,000 cars on the road. Imagine what this year's event will do for our environment? Hopefully, this idea can catch on and we can have more lights out campaigns in the year. Let's save energy people. Use your bikes, scooters and WALK WALK WALK. Get in shape. Let's do it.

Ron Thompson & His Resistors - Legendary Rhythm and Blues Guitarist and Master Keyboardist

Ron Thompson is a legendary rhythm and blues guitarist and master keyboardist whose career began in the rough and tumble world of East Bay nightclubs and bars in the early '70s. Not many living blues musicians can say they have performed with and recorded for legends like Big Mama Thornton, Sonny Rhodes, Luther Tucker, Jimmy McCracklin, Pee Wee Crayton, Carla Thomas, School Boy Cleve, Percy Mayfield, Etta James, B.B. King, and Jimmy Reed. Ron Thompson can, and that's just the beginning! During many years of touring coast to coast with John Lee Hooker, Hooker was quoted as saying, "Ron Thompson, he's my main man!" After serving as John Lee Hooker's bandleader for seven years, Thompson went on to form his own group Ron Thompson and His Resisters and toured extensively in the U.S., Canada, Europe, and Central America. In the early 80's, Ron met Mick Fleetwood (Fleetwood Mac) and the two became musical partners and close friends. Mick convinced Ron to move to Los Angeles where they formed the band, Mick Fleetwood's Blue Whale. Thompson is famous for his marathon, sweat-soaked sets everywhere he appears. Few performers put more energy into their performances than this slide-guitar wrangler and blues-belter. The City of San Francisco proclaimed September 5, 2007 as "Ron Thompson Day" to honor his decades of musical contributions to the community.

The Stairwell Sisters - Energetic Musicianship, Tight Vocals and Red-Hot Buckdancing

The Stairwell Sisters have amassed a rowdy repertoire of timeless tunes plus a solid standing of smart, original material that is winning praise on a national level. You will enjoy San Francisco's all-gal urban old-time teardown. Counter-culturalists of every generation enjoy their energetic musicianship, tight vocal arrangements and red-hot buckdancing. The gals kicked off 2007 with an appearance on the nationally syndicated A Prairie Home Companion, as well as their first UK tour, which won them rave reviews. This Fall they will record their third CD, with producer Lloyd Maines. Stephanie Prausnitz (fiddle) and Evie Ladin (banjo/clogging) are steeped in the old-time repertoire, bringing tunes with just the right intensity to suit the quintet's dynamic feel. Lisa Berman's unique approach to the dobro adds a grit that walks a line through country and blues. Martha Hawthorne (bass) and Sue Sandlin (guitar/tiple) motor the band forward with their lock-step rhythm. All of the sisters sing, and they have a knack for infusing the old music with intoxicating energy and soul. "A powerhouse ensemble." - San Francisco Chronicle

i moved

I moved to Saratoga. Bye bye Modesto! I'm coming to visit this weekend though. Got a nice place. Reminds me of living at a time share, except when rent is due. I have half a room for my studio though, have to share the other half with my boyfriends insanely huge computer set up. That's what I get for dating a web developer. Anyway... I'm probably going to sign with this Artist's Managment Agency, Missing Piece. We're working on developing a show for Fashion week. You can also vote for me at Style Bakery. Company: J.Sellberg Website: http://jsellberg.com even though I heard some people were using like 10 diff emails to vote for me already, haha. I'd appreciate it.
