Hey Modesto.. Looks like the Modesto Bee will be closing their printing press here in Modesto and your local paper will be coming from Sacramento. My phone is still on fire here, but IM trying to get the latest 411 on this for you as of now! Friends, Please pray that this isn’t so. The Modesto Bee at one time had about 700 employees under their wing. We just can’t afford to lose any more jobs here locally people..

It’s Sunday Morning and I’m getting caught up on the 411 in our Modesto Bee. As I browse through the Saturdays Modesto Bee, I noticed a wonderful piece on our new church that all at Saint Stanislaus have been working so hard to make a reality.

Where? It’s on our local Public Access Channel. See everything from a Job Board to cool episodes by the MPD as well as some cool works by our city officials. Other things to look for our, the office of education doings, adoptable pet show chase, City of Modesto visitors bureau info, Modesto city council meetings, The Modesto planning commission, The Cancer Report, The Stanislaus Planning Commission, Modesto Crime Live and our Holiday Events/Parades. I just watched the MPD Equestrian Division and I very much enjoyed it.

The Politics of Dancing

OMG Nat & I had a great time last Thursday night at The Speakeasy.
In fact, when we got there; the place was about full but everyone was just swaying to the music and getting social with their drink on. OK, here’s the Blow.. Nat & I Cracked that dance floor wide open.. Yes Modesto Famous, We actually danced there, not grinned & nor did we ever do the Bump. LOL. It was all about freestyle dancing with some good Retro Beats.

It’s a little after 10AM and my Air conditioner just kicked on! The heat is coming & by Wednesday it should be one Hot Mother Hubbard. Please be mindful of the heat; Please make sure your drinking plenty of water & give those seniors in your life a call. Let them know that the heat is on and they should take precautions now for this weeks scorcher. Also, Please! Please make sure our pets have plenty of fresh water and have a place to chill in a shaded area. Please..

I’m heading to the front lines

Well, it’s Friday morning and IM getting my battle gear together to head out this weekend to collectively fight cancer! I feel pretty good and my spirit is strong and I am determined to do the best I can for my community and for those who are battling with this dieses. Me, I will be up for 24 hours starting Saturday morning at 9AM till the closing ceremony on Sunday morning at 9AM. Will I get tired? Sure I will; Will I take my body to an extreme? Sure I will; Will I shed a tear at the luminary ceremony? For sure; Will I work hard to make sure everyone is having a great time; Most defiantly; will I lose my voice by Sunday morning? Guaranteed. For me, I look at it as being in an iron man completion for life and the true winners that are in this fight with me are the ones who are suffering from this terrible dieses. They are the one’s who still find the energy to help their kids with their homework after kimo.. They are the ones who still sport a smile to their loved ones when they are in pain; They are the ones that we are fighting for! Please come out and join me tomorrow Modesto!

My Job! Food For Thought

If I wasn’t a DJ I would want to be a Ice Cream Man. How cool is that? First I would build me the coolest Ice Cream Van ever. My thoughts? I would have more different kinds of Ice Creams on it then any other. It would also have a plasma TV built in on one side with my favorite cartoons from the 70’s playing on it and on the other side, it would have a light up ice cream menu. It would defiantly have a monster sound system, tricked out rims and tires, flashy colors and a screaming logo. Yes my friends, it would be one tricked out Ice Cream Van! Although, I don’t think it would make me a million dollars. But that’s OK, I would be as happy with that job as I am being a DJ and entertaining people.
