One of my favorite features of this site is the area in which we display "Famous Photos." These are all user-submitted works and they are all taken from our Flickr.com photo group. I just got a phone call from one of our favorite local photographers, Shootenpicsbob, whose work we feature often. He called to tell me that he had organized a photo expedition heading to Berkley today that will include other members of our photo group.
You may have noticed that I just put up 10 new Famous Photos. If you are looking to get some exposure on your photos, click any photo in that box (they rotate with the refresh button on your browser) and add your work for free to our group on www.flickr.com.
As you can see, I just changed the main photos on this page to showcase some beautiful art from throughout the valley. We now have over 1,200 photos from 89 photographers to choose from!
If you enjoy taking pictures and want to share them, click here and add your photos to our Flickr photo group. A basic Flickr account is free and a paid account which is virtually unlimited costs only $24.95 per year. Flickr away folks! Show us what your eye sees in Modesto and the surrounding area.
Stay tuned throughout the day and check to see if our cool new feature is up and active. I will be linking to photos in our Flickr.com photo group that were taken out on the town the previous night. If you were out on the town, there might just be a fun photo of you and your friends posted in the group that you can download, print or share for free. If you have photos to share, go for it! The National Weather Service is predicting rain through Tuesday and then again next weekend. This might be a good weekend to just stay home and cuddle up on the couch with a stack of movies.

Hola! Here we are on Monday morning and Modesto is all bright and shiny outside. Rumor has it that the clouds will rush in soon and soak us to the bone but do we care? Not when we can duck into a local club and get lost in music or hold ourselves captive in a coffee house somewhere!
