Riverbank gets a plug from Joey Huestis email, as Rio Arts does second Art Walk and Chalk Walk sidewalk drawing contest. While I'm in the pr release, just told them I'm bringing drawing pad and pens as usual, but Joey Huestis, one of the photographers for Sonora Blues Festival among other things, and I did go out to this one last year. I"m still trying to get the easels back to Mistlin Gallery today, nearly a week after art walk, as had to drop off at Downtown Improvement District, as no room at the State Theatre after we finish art walk event, in case you noticed the gallery wasn't open last couple days. Probably working on those checks to artists who sold at art and wine fest. Farmer's Market art went well, and I'm taking out more of the note cards from my original art to sell in Riverbank, and Pride Festival's Jeff Carnegie caught me over at MJC new media arts center opening, and has a deal for local artists to show with them Sept 27 in Graceada Park. Will post his email next. I missed life drawing last night at Chartreuse Muse, only $10 on Tuesdays.

A public reception for the new Modesto Poet Laureate and the out-going Modesto Poet Laureate will be hosted by the McHenry Museum and the Modesto Culture Commission, Saturday, July 12, 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the McHenry Museum, 1402 “I�? Street, Modesto.

Sam Pierstorff, Modesto Poet Laureate for 2004-2008 & Ed Bearden, Modesto Poet Laureate for 2008–2010 will read from their work (cheerleading outfit not including).

I've been framing pics today, for the Visually Impaired Persons Support Center show tomorrow, 9 am to 4 pm, had this sale to partner of one rejected from Spring Show, took the two back from last show, took in the three for Sping Show, tired of art I decided to take a break, see a real show, with art by Angry F on the walls. I'm working on my follow up to my letter to the editor of the Modesto Bee yesterday of the idea of that train and hwy 33 overpass into that park in Patterson in front of City Hall, like Bambi meets Godzilla and how to draw that one out..... so was ready from some time at DEVA. compare my shots to Efren J's.

Music Guests headliner Rachel Renae at 5:30 pm, Dirty Monday in the theatre at around 7, lots of art, COLLECTIBLES also, as seemed a good time to do this. Art is free to view, but art is also for sale, at the State, and throughout the full Downtown Third Thursday Art Walk. Local Artists, good values, good art.

Where will you be for New Years Eve? If your in town, I hope you can stop by and see me. I'll be at Clayton's. It's a nice restuarant with a bar to the side located on H Street. It's owned by Mitch, the owner of Tresetti's, which is across the street from Fat Cat. I'll be pulling out some covers by Elvis Presley, Dido, Natalie Furtado, Keane, Colbie Calliat the song "Bubbly" a little bit of Patsy Cline, John Denver, some Cranberries, Jewel, Mayer, Martina Mcbride.... and last but not least some originals by Miss. Rachel Renae. :)
