Regarding the First Annual Halloween Blues Event, with Cafe R and B, Ron Thompson, crowd in costumes, cocktails and drinks, the music headliners, real blues was great. Next Blues Event in area, might be over at Clayton's where the costume contest winners prizes are consumed. Blue Monday with Johnny Valdez and the Straight Ahead band.

Grant is putting this together, and we saw Cafe R & B at Sonora Blues Fest, and all know Ron Thompson. This is November 1, at the Eagles Hall.

Big Earl and the Crying Shame on Saturday 9:30 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. This new series at Clayton's has been a bit sparse for crowd, great live blues with last year's MAMA award winner D J Slate and Rocket 88, and great set this past Saturday with Johnny Rocket and Thrust, so get out this Saturday for Big Earl and the Crying Shame. Another Monday has arrived and it is time again to crawl out of bed and face your job. Some of you might still be a little out of it if you went to X-Fest. That was one heck of a party! I was very impressed with the band, “Blue October.�? They were excellent!

D J Slate and Rocket 88, playing Jacob's Fine Dining June 30, and will flip, flop and fly through the blues. Last gig was Modesto Blues Festival, and coming up Fourth of July in the Graceada Park Mancini Bowl, where last seen.
