Greg Edwards and his company, Off the Air will take over Cafe Deva again this Friday and present another evening of great Indie music and artwork. This is an excellent chance for art and music fans alike to experience the budding cultural scene right here in Modesto.

Aloha again from sunny Kona, Hawaii! I am writing to remind all of you to make some time to get to Cafe Deva tonight for an art reception for Chris Doud, Jeff Doud, Zach Erickson and Jim Damaron.

It has not been very long since Tawny Holt has moved back to Modesto and she has wasted no time taking our little art scene by storm. You have probably heard her name associated with fashion and art and now you have a chance to see why Modesto has fallen in love with this red-headed beauty.

The third Thursday of this month is rapidly approaching and that means that another Art Walk is on the horizon also. This is one event that I find to be very special in Modesto and I really would love to see hundreds of people walking from gallery to gallery enjoying the work of local artists.

Off the Air is tonight at Cafe Deva on J Street. This will be a great show and a great opportunity to share the music and atmosphere that you love with your entire family or friends that have never gone to an Off the Air show before. This will be an all-ages event.

I have mentioned this before and now tonight is the night. Come downtown tonight to Cafe Deva on J street and check out music by hot local band, Sapo Sueno. While you are there take in the art on display by Nick Brown and Shannon Antus.

It's another hot day here in Motown and if the weather report is correct, it should be about 98 degrees out there today. The rest of the week should not be as hot, but we should all stay cool no matter what and drink a ton of fluids. If you are really bored and feel like driving, you can catch Gwen Stefani tonight in Marysville. Tickets are still available.

A while back I was standing next to Greg Edwards of Off the Air at one of his shows and I was astounded as a rapper completely mesmerized the in indie rock crowd. If you have ever been to an Off the Air Show, you know that their line ups always come alive with the power of indie rock. Most people would think that rap music would have no place in that sort of atmosphere. Those people would be wrong in this case.
