My wife and I just got back from running some errands around town and while we were out Megan came up with a few things that she thought I should mention on Modesto Famous. I am not sure why does not yet post here. Hopefully soon we will see her grace our pages. Maybe you could offer some encouragement.
So a lot of people that I know are really passionate about Immigration. I am not super passionate either way, but I do have some opinions that I would really like some feedback on. I want to understand better why people feel the way that they do.
In many schools across the state yesterday students walked out of class in protest of HR4437, the Border Protection, Anti-Terrorism, and Illegal Immigration Control Act of 2005.
Modesto protest has been small thus far but could get larger as the legislation gets closer to being passed. According to The Modesto Bee, Modesto High School Principal Melda Gaskins said a group of about 60 students said they would like to hold a forum today during lunch. Informed students would explain the legislation to other students to promote better understanding.
