Way to go Chris!! Nine years of X-Fest in the face of those that said it wouldn't last. Looks like this year was a great event and it will guarantee many to come. There are many cities that are much larger than Modesto that cannot pull of an event like X-Fest nor would they even try.

What about Modesto getting their own NBA-D team? Wouldn't that be great? Take the family along for an outing to watch our local D Team destroy another? I would love it. Check out the standings. ...couldn't you see Modesto sitting atop that West Division? I can. Maybe out business leaders need to form a committee? Let's get to it.

We are looking for a local artist to design a new look for our event "The Pick & Gather at Riverdance Farms".

This art work will be our brand put on posters, flyers and t-shirts. It will not only be good recognition, there will be a percentage of sales given to the artist as well.

I have read that Clear Channel has petitioned the FCC to move KOSO (B-93.1) from 93.1 to 92.9. KOSO will also reduce its power from 50000 watts to 6000 watts so that Clear Channel can create a new radio station at 93.1 for Sacramento.

We just visited and interviewed Chef Marshall Bishop, owner of "Cafe Sol"
and what a wonderful surprise!

The menu not only offers unique foods, Marshall only cooks with fresh seasonal foods from Local Organic Farmers, how cutting edge is that!

Well it looks like KOSO Program Director Angie Good axed the Retro Bistro, a lunchtime hour of 80's Music (with some 70's and 90's, but mostly 80's). It was the coolest hour listening to songs I haven't heard in years from such artists as The Bangles, Cindy Lauper, The Ramones, Oingo Boingo, Styx, and even The Village People!!! There were many tunes like Mexican Radio, Deadman's Party, YMCA, Mr.

Last year, Berkeley based RASPUTIN MUSIC AND MOVIES expanded into the Central Valley by purchasing the leases of 2 Former TOWER RECORDS locations in STOCKTON and FRESNO. If anyone doesn't know what Rasputins is, It is the coolest most ECLECTIC music(CD's, Records and Cassettes) and video store(DVD, VHS,Beta and Laserdisc).
