It is on the stands today and it looks hot! The Modesto Bee has made the Scene section every Friday more entertaining and more informative and they have even added a place for Modesto Famous and I!

Starting this Friday, the Modesto Bee will be featuring a shiny new Scene section. The cool part for ModestoFamous is that we will be featured in the publication every week! The scary part is that my photo will also be featured! We are not responsible for any blindness that this may cause!

So I considered driving to San Francisco a couple of times next week for the always entertaining indie music festival NOISE POP. I just bought my first brand new car and I've been excited about the opportunity to go to bay area shows without the risk of being stranded on the roadside. But then I see that not only do I have the regularly scheduled SHMOOSING-and-BOOSING-Modesto LOCAL-INDEPENDANT-MUSICAL-FANTASIA-"Off the Air" to attend on Wednesday night, but also the MAGICALLY gifted Radioactive Cauliflower is gracing the stage in Merced with friends from Boston on Monday. Monday night I will be at the Mainzer in Merced (see the posting on this site for more info) having a delicious brew and soaking in the local music that has become part of my lifeblood. Wednesday I will be at the Fat Cat in Modesto participating in what has become a gathering of what I like to call "people I enjoy seeing on a regular basis".
