cancer
I’m heading to the front lines
Well, it’s Friday morning and IM getting my battle gear together to head out this weekend to collectively fight cancer! I feel pretty good and my spirit is strong and I am determined to do the best I can for my community and for those who are battling with this dieses. Me, I will be up for 24 hours starting Saturday morning at 9AM till the closing ceremony on Sunday morning at 9AM. Will I get tired? Sure I will; Will I take my body to an extreme? Sure I will; Will I shed a tear at the luminary ceremony? For sure; Will I work hard to make sure everyone is having a great time; Most defiantly; will I lose my voice by Sunday morning? Guaranteed. For me, I look at it as being in an iron man completion for life and the true winners that are in this fight with me are the ones who are suffering from this terrible dieses. They are the one’s who still find the energy to help their kids with their homework after kimo.. They are the ones who still sport a smile to their loved ones when they are in pain; They are the ones that we are fighting for! Please come out and join me tomorrow Modesto! » read more

As a Cancer survivor myself, events that help generate awareness and money for Cancer research mean a great deal to me. So many people have been affected by Cancer and I have watched personally as families struggle to hold themselves together in the midst of this terrible disease. If you have a chance, come to Riverbank this weekend and raise money for Breast Cancer Research. There is no better cause that I can think of. » read more
Sad note, Keyboardist extraordinaire, Dave Wallace in the obituairies in today's Modesto Bee. Manhattan Transfer, Loggins and Messina, local music scene, a missed presence, and sadly for me as well, second local musician my age this year to die. » read more
