Modesto Scrabble Club will hold it's first offical gathering on May 7th at the Queen Bean Coffee House in Modesto from 7:00-9:00pm. We then plan to meet every first and third Wednesday (same place, same time). Humans of any age (and that are capable of playing a decent game) are encouraged to join. There is no fee. Players are asked to bring a Scrabble board and official Scrarbble Dictionary. OMG how excited am I! The Modesto Fitness and Racquet Club just invested over a one hundred thousand dollars in new equipment. They just got a whole lot of this, that and the other thing! OMG I think I’m going to faint!…………………………….................Fainted, OK, I’m back. I went in this evening to finish out my cardio for today and I was floored. All this new equipment is beautiful! I was so thrilled, that even though it wasn’t my lifting day, I just had to try out some of this new equipment. The new treadmills are nice and they have a softer floor to ease the impact of your run. The new lifting equipment has a variety of levels to create more or less resistance in your lift. WOW! If you haven’t been to the Modesto Fitness and Racquet Club lately, you need to check it OUT! Who am I, I’m just a workout maniac and a happy member. JB Presents used to put on shows at Seasons, 945 McHenry Avenue, where I, mercenary graphics took tickets. Seasons was named in the best venue class for MAMA's a year or so ago, and great place to hear a band, have an event, a wedding, even the Peer to Peer mental health class has had sessions there, so there are more than the main hall, other meeting rooms, the bars, great dance floor, nice place to hold or attend an event.
