A friend of mine from high school has ran into some trouble. He was arrested a bit ago for holding up 2 pharmacies in the Bay Area to get Percocet, which he became addicted to after a hip injury he suffered while in Bosnia as an Army Ranger. I have created an online petition in support of his situation. It is located here:
Want to change the "meth" capital of the world status of Modesto, too often I see on myspace referred to "methdesto" for obviously there has been a problem. My mom's tennis group, nice ladies, but may need some education, that the parks sometimes used by folks who look like addicts, homeless maybe, but simply poor, still dress the same, got them tats, but possibly doing an odd thing, waiting for the fellowship meeting to open, and attend. You know, one of those friends of Bill, knows 12 steps to something, anonymous sort of, but ever growing group, as why not, it has been meth capital of California.

I get the strangest phone calls sometimes. This morning as I am trying just to wake up I get a call from someone that I don't recognize and the mystery caller sounds a bit out of breath. Not one to just hang up, I decide to listen to what he has to say.
