Law enforcement agencies throughout Stanislaus County will be joining together to conduct DUI checkpoints and saturation patrols in Oakdale and Stanislaus County this Memorial Day weekend as part of the Avoid the Twelve campaign. DUI saturation patrols will occur Friday, May 23, and Sunday, May 25, throughout Stanislaus County. It was the first real test of how the community would react to an uncensored, unedited open forum and frankly, it surprised us to see how far and fast that Modesto ran with the concept. The Bee is reporting today that Greg Adams and fellow co-workers of Dow Diversified construction caused quite a stir this morning when a call was made to police stating that there was someone running around outside their business wearing a mask and carrying a rifle. » read more
