I guess Ed Bearden the new poet laureate be ok, but I just put him in the letter to the editor, as he's the new appointee to be Poet Laureate of Modesto and because Slam on Rye, and outgoing poet laureate Sam Pierstorff has some "juice" with the Bee, finally got a cartoon on their editorial page in the Print edition. See a printed copy of the Bee, better than the online version. Anyway, the "retired" er, fir/. uh, Ed got the next term, after four years great service from Sam. So, my letter, version of gold watch, which is same drawing in gilded frame I was going to drop by his office at MJC, only to still have it to give him July 12.
Well, its after Thanksgiving, and John Black of JBPresents.com, sometimes known as my boss when I take tickets at concerts, Usually my line of work, in case a watercolor doesn't sell, is do a poster, post cards, and have yet to print out my Christmas Cards, on agenda for today. I also do business cards from my graphics. For christmas, may have to change from the Blues frog to a more festive original graphic, but if frogs your thing, can buy christmas frog from. http://www.cafepress.com/jdc104 and get the Modesto Blues festival logo frong on coffee mugs, hand bags, underwear, or T shirts. or ask me to pick a different graphic, and place an order.
This is a repost of my blog of the week and National day of prayer for mental health recovery last October 4. I was team captain of the Prop 63 initiative that past, and a mental health client. But I'm also a believer its not impossible to get over it, deal with it, and I was also in my past life over 25 years employed, and for 8 years President of Altamont Builders, Inc, have a number of projects, including that of our company, Bain Steel, that are part of downtown, ag, office, residential subdivisions landmarks in Modesto, and had made the cut for the Downtown Redevelopmnet Committee for the City, but was living a block out of area, as my consulting work for partners in our old project near the new overpass on 9th street, not active enough a business to serve on that.
