Local Rap artist Chance....

I found out just yesterday.... From a close reliable source, that Modesto rap artist Chance formely with the group 3 Strikes, a hip hop trio signed to M.P.R. Entertainment based in Modesto, Ca. June 16th 2008 police responded to a hit in which the local rappers wife was involved in a hit and run located in East Modesto.

She released “Undeniable� in 1999, and in 2004 delivered “This is My Time.� Her self-titled CD features emotional ballads to hip-hop and rhythm and blues.

What: Rapper Chuck D of the politcally conscious group Public Enemy will speak on "Rap, Race and Reality" Where: Faye Spanos Concert Hall Cost: Free Description: Chuck D, lead rapper of the hardcore revolutionary group Public Enemy, will share his thoughts on race relations and the current state of hip-hop as it faces continuous criticism for promoting violence, materialism and misogyny. Formed in 1982, Public Enemy was one of hip-hop's most influential and controversial acts in the late 1980s and early 1990s. The group often addressed social issues plauging the black community with hits such as "911 Is a Joke" and "Fight the Power."
