I applaud the Stanislaus County Grand Jury for their recommendation of a needle exchange program in our community as a means of stemming the tide of infectious disease throughout our entire community.

Good things are taking shape over at the Stanislaus Community Assistance Project (SCAP.) The local non-profit has landed over $5 million in grants to help house low income people in our community that suffer from AIDS or are HIV positive.
