I am so a Metal fan now!

I am pretty sure that I lost a portion of my hearing tonight. I may have also suffered some whiplash. In addition to those injuries, I was almost killed when (like an idiot) I walked into the middle of a mosh pit and a man that had to weigh at least 400 pounds decided that I would make a great ping pong ball.

City Council to vote on X-Fest approval next week

Whether you are opposed to promoter, Chris Ricci's plans for X-Fest or you are in favor of them, you will be able to state your case at this Tuesday's City Council meeting. The public meeting scheduled for Tuesday at 5:30 p.m at Tenth Street Place at 1010 10th Street will address a number of concerns including crowd safety and alcohol consumption.

Death by wasp, Chihuahua rage, concert notes and...I feel pretty!

Well, my ears are still ringing a bit from last night's Aaron Durr, Sister Hazel concert at The Fat Cat, but I am up and moving and I feel pretty good. The show was awesome! Now, don't read too much into what I am about to type here (we won't be getting best buddy tattoos or swapping blood) but I have to give good ol' Chris Ricci a big round of applause for putting together one hell of a party.

The Black Crowes fly on to Fresno after cancelling tonight's Modesto Show

In a move that will no doubt dismay and disappoint many local music fans, The Black Crowes have canceled tonight's concert in Downtown Modesto.
The show which was put together by Chris Ricci under the company name, The Producing Group, LLC, as part of the "Downtown Rocks" concert series had been widely publicized in Modesto and surrounding areas. According to the article in The Bee today, The Black Crowes canceled the show citing "logistical concerns."
