So I read about yet another rider going down. What irritates me is the comments that people make. Number one I ride daily, and I am conserving gas. I get 45 mpg on my Honda VTX 1300 R. The drivers I come across on the local roads in Modesto make me feel like hitting someone with a bat. The lack of common sense and curtesy is maddening. People look at you and pull out in front of you anyway, or they pull into your lane because they were not looking. I watch out for other drivers, but that does not always protect me from idiots. It is sad to read the comments that are written about the motorcycle riders. People start blaming them before they know all the facts. People start talking about that time that they saw a guy on a motorcycle riding a wheelie... It has nothing to do with the accident at hand. The fatalities I have read about lately were due to the other drivers and not the motorcycle rider.

Here's an email from James Rasmussen on Blues And Bikes show Friday at Etouffee Restaurant over across from Pierre's Salon, near McHenry Mansion, and across the street from Big Foot Carpet, and must be friends of Skip's music, as that's where you can by some tickets. Etouffee also recently joined the venues doing the Downtown Modesto Third Thursday Art Walk, where blues has been played regularly recently.
