Karen Cox will be demonstrating printmaking in monoprints at Act of Kindness at 619 14th Street. David Bienkowski will be doing an oil painting demonstration at Anderson's Gallery and Frame Shop for Art Walk. I may be doing some sketching and watercolors over at Clayton's.

Like to watch people paint? Art Walk on Thursday will include artist David Bienkowski at State Theatre, with his paintings and his easel and paints to do an oil painting in the art display. David is also teaching a workshop July 12 at the Chartruese Muse.

We've been lampooning an item here on editorial difference, behind the scene email, regarding competetive nature of business, when economy down. I understand both sides of equation, as frankly, to do what I've been doing, on really limited resources, use the free sites to blog, post my paintings and drawings, poetry which has yielded interest, critical review I needed, as for a bit, didn't get out much, health issues, bipolar and type of depression, other interests, where a need appeared, as did opportunity and what I was doing for some needed cash, promotion, back to posters, do some newsletters, support my support group, support some causes I live, not just believe in.

The new poster finally out....... more art walk to come. Dropped a draft copy of to Jon Valenti at Speak Easy tonight, see him next Thursday Night, at the State Theatre, with artists on display.

MISTLIN GALLERY WILL HAVE RECEPTION FOR THE MEMBERS SHOW UP THERE THIS MONTH.

The State Theatre has offered up a great opportunity for local artists to display their work, in historic art deco multi faceted venue, and we like to keep the displays interesting, open to more artists, different media, fun event, so we're looking for more artist participation. This month the music switches to acoustic jazz and blues by Joe Barretta and John Ady. Penny Meyer will be painting while her art also on display, a new feature this month.

The scene is in a park, a redwood middle, hedgerows trimmed, bus stop corner, and an oaktree nearby, a trash can, and four benches.

Prior shows in this park near me, reminded by angryf's blog on the clean graffiti were typically black, uninspired tagger works, such I called in an undersung artist, after noting the landscape improvements since Grover prunings, and by email to city parks and neighborhoods, the graffiti abatement painter.
