The State Theatre

Got the laptop replaced, so posting some events for State Theatre. We won't be open this month for Art Walk, doing combined art and music on Third Thursday over at Clayton's where Blue Monday tonite is Johnny Valdez and Straight Ahead. We'll be back for Art Walk at State Theatre, Jan 15th. SATURDAY, at STATE THEATRE, is the Young Dubliners and State's Christmas Party. $16 tix. NEW YEAR"S EVE, Double blues party, headlining MOFO PARTY BAND, and bonus Blues Box Bayou Band, live big screen tie in to Times Square, sparkling wine toast for over 21, and tix $25 and VIP $50 for Great show.

I just came across this calendar entry on the State Theatre website and it looks like a great way to have a fun romantic night out while supporting a great cause at the same time:

Join The Society for Handicapped Children & Adults for a special Couples Night Out, featuring the romantic comedy French Kiss starring Meg Ryan, Kevin Kline and Timothy Hutton. This benefit for the Society begins with a 6:30 p.m. reception in the lobby of The State Theatre where guests will be served sparkling wine and chocolate-covered strawberries by the wait staff of Galletto Ristorante. A raffle will be held at 7:45, followed by the film at 8 p.m.

Get out on the town this week and let us pick up the tab for the events that you want to see!
