I was wondering if you could remind everyone to visit the ongoing art gallery/show in Oakdale at Kara's Skin Care Studio, featuring local artists David Rodriguez, Joey Huestis, and jewelry designer Donna Celli. The show ends September 13th.

Support Local Theatre. Buy art by local artists in Patterson, downtown for Patterson Repertory Company, and some of the artists on display from Third Thursday Art Walk. This is a fundraiser for both, so bring you atm card, wallets, check books, only $25 or $30 at door I believe at the 4th Annual Patterson Repertory Company Art and Wine Gala. Anyway, Saturday, that's tommorow Night, 6 to 10 p.m.

Hershey 'Kisses' Oakdale goodbye

The Hershey Co. may make some of the best candies in all the world, but today they are leaving a bad taste in the mouths of many valley residents. Like many American companies Hershey will take a large percentage of it's production needs to Mexico to make a larger profit. Altogether the plant will eliminate 575 valley jobs. Severance packages are in the works.

That was probably an easy question. The hard question is "How do they taste?"
Hold your gag reflex. Since they are marinated, well seasoned and deep fried, they taste OK. I won't be incorporating them into my regular diet. But I can stomach it for the novelty factor. Can you?

Well, my ears are still ringing a bit from last night's Aaron Durr, Sister Hazel concert at The Fat Cat, but I am up and moving and I feel pretty good. The show was awesome! Now, don't read too much into what I am about to type here (we won't be getting best buddy tattoos or swapping blood) but I have to give good ol' Chris Ricci a big round of applause for putting together one hell of a party.
