I want to buy a home but the home I want to buy doesn't exist in Modesto and the community I want to live in doesn't either

My parents constantly made me watch the news , forced me to become aware of the injustices of fascism and the oppression of populations in the developing world. The schools I went to were open. Back in September this site caused all sorts of controversy when we reported on the hyphy incident downtown and let the community talk about how they felt about it. It was the first real test of how the community would react to an uncensored, unedited open forum and frankly, it surprised us to see how far and fast that Modesto ran with the concept. People wrote in and expressed their opinions on police power, racial issues, music, the way that the youth here are treated and how they felt about the cultural lines between Modesto and the East Bay blurring together rapidly. » read more
Last letter to editor of the Modesto Bee, notes resident on Sunrise has had car windows shot out three times in last month. Sunrise starts as Bodem Street, up from Scenic, and on my block, 5 cars window shot with a pellet gun in first three days of this week. Further down, I noted two other cars similarly attacked, apparently with pellet guns from car drive by at night. » read more
