Ben Jones Benefit at Fat Cat This Tuesday, April 24th

We wanted to pass along this information about next week's benefit for our good friend Ben Jones.

Ben Jones, age 33, suffered a sudden heart attack on Friday, April 13th, brought on by what is believed to have been a viral infection. He passed away this week, leaving behind his wife and two children ages 10 and 15. We are producing a benefit for his family on Tuesday Night 4/24.

So I get this call yesterday from Dan Diaz. If you are familiar with the local music scene, you will know that Dan is the man behind Jiggy. He is also Jiggy's dad. He pulls the strings to get Jiggy all over the place. Jiggy has played with countless rap celebs and credit has to be given to the elder Diaz.

Fall Air, photos and Jack Ass

It’s Jack Ass Day. That apparently is a big deal in The United States as kids all over stand in line to see Johnny Knoxville and his band of morons risk life and limb for the second feature-length fiasco of their not so brilliant careers. Does it say something about American Culture that our youth spends more time listening to these geniuses than our own president? That is the question of the day. What do you think?

Modesto Benefit Concert for Mojo

Many of you know that I suffer from a rare terminal liver disease and that I am in need of a liver transplant. I have developed many friends in this community and they have decided that they want to throw a party to help raise some money for my wife and I to deal with my medical expenses. Modesto Blues Festival, 2006, includes a benefit for California Donor Transplant Network

The Third Modesto Blues Festival, by JB Presents will be coming up September 9, and tickets, at $25 each, for the day, still available for the all day event at SOS Club, and will have a benefit auction again this year, this time some proceeds will go to the California Donor Transplant Network, and auction items likely again from Skip's music.
