blog run, carbon foot print, smudged reputation, benefits of walking

Blog run today, to warn you all, Jdc104 may soon be back behind the wheel once in awhile, not on my bike, back to being licensed, insured driver. Been an interesting experiment to do the Art Walk production, complete with walking to do the poster posting for the State Theatre while walking, good way to meet the other gallery folks, venues and places who post the posters, make some contacts, and I'm an all weather walker. Environmentally friendly, you pay attention to weather, wardrobe, thank Payless Shoe Source, xmas and birthday gifts of shoes and socks, hardly dissed for some time, sweaters either. Easy to gauge the crowd turn out after walking down to do the show, and appreciation of public transportation I rarely use, but ACE train to get into where I used to sometimes work, play, even hang art.

jdc104 suggests......actual blog

YOu always see that Famous Recommends.......

well, its in the scene, 90 words by mojo, other half of ad is for marjicke......

So I thought I'd blog some from me, jdc104

Thought I'd put up an actual blog for a change. Its been awhile, readers noticed Jim has been doing about as many State Theatre, and Art Walk things as I did Blues Fest, when I got into Efren like trouble, for allegedly too many blogs as "blues man". Fuck it, I am trained as a journalist actually, have the big award from UCR for Columbia School of Jouranalism, make Jay Smith proud my cartoons got our newspaper confiscated, had to reprint, no redo of the strip, so have to support comics right to bad taste at times. But Jay, I acutally did crew at UCR for Carlin, Cheech and Chong, Lilly Tomlin live.....great shows, along with the originals bands of the seventies, from the sixties, etc. Keep to those pro reviews.....

IN Patterson, the Relay for life will take place in May

I had tried to attach comment to Efren's Relay for Life lineup blog. The Modesto Blues Festival is same date, nearly same time as this event, but I too have relatives who were victims of Cancer, and wish to note, as my cousin Marty, the latest one, was a Patterson, CA resident and they will be doing their relay for life, for the cancer society, teams, music, and at the track at Patterson HS in May.

new things going on

well, the frustrations of having the computer crash, in the midst of mojo's crisis here at modestofamous, finally solved with an art sale of some of my work, some old like me from 1988, one new one from last week, such i could go get a new laptop, and vista takes a bit of getting used to, and the laptop conversion requires a new printer.

my gang shoots at red, your gang shoots at blue, my music must be best, boo hoo

I'm always fucking amazed, use the profanity for a purpose, when I read these arguments on a public blog site, where Mojo is pretty good loose let it flow editor, where you guys argue over My Music the only music, be it indie, metal, smashmouth, gangsta, hip hop, etc. It ain't, there is jazz, classical, alternative, new age, punk, rock classic, rock lite, christian pap smear, bit of jiggle music, hard core elevator music, gospel classics, etc, even music from other countries, other towns, other states, other universes than just, hate to remind you, this is only small town by comparison elsewhere in CA. Get a grip, this is better now than was when I got here.
