Jennifer Williams of Crow Trading sent me an email that Elizabeth Ingebretsen will be showing her watercolors from her trip to Tunisia this month August 21 for the Downtown Modesto Third Thursday Art Walk. Crow Trading is next door to DEVA.

Noticed Jean Jay and Nita Gunnarson among instructors in the community ed class schedule for MJC, page 9 through 11, and look pretty good value for art ed, or time to paint.  I myself, likely to take the blues harmonica class for a change, good buy on c harps for $11 along with class fee.

Just finished hanging watercolors and one of my monoprints at Act of Kindness, Gift, Gallery and Boutique, a very interesting place, noted in previous blog. Works will be on display for the Art Walk, and for the next month.

From a submission to friends who, like modestofamous.com happen to be on myspace, I was able to submit 14 of my watercolors, and bonus, one of my recent poems, to writer website http://www.thebluedoodle.com I'm one of the features on the main page, other articles on photography, miscelaneous reporting, and writers. I'm the only one from Modesto, but thought bloggers, artist, other readers here, might want to take a look, as first time for me to have someone pick from my submission and publish. Just thought I'd share a recent different sort of experience for me, and a place to view my art online.
