It was nice to win those two recent awards at Mistlin for the Spring Show, got enough money to pay the deposit fee to enter the August 16 Modesto Art and Wine Festival, but if you haven't gotten notice of what it takes to enter as an artist this year, here's the new set of fees, fresh from the email adobe file, and its onerous.

John Black, aka JB Presents, sent out this bulletin, that he's completed this years lineup for the June 14, FREE, Modesto Blues Festival and United Community Walk, on Flag Day, day before Father's Day, part of Grafitti Summer events schedule, bands at Mancini Bowl, vendors, food, drink, stuff, art, community walk up Virginia Corridor, and these bands. Modesto doesn't just have one blues festival, but two coming up in the next few months. Ours is the Free admission one this year, June 23, at Graceada Park. Short update for Modesto Blues Festival, fun day at SOS Club

I added a short update comment to my last blog on the Modesto Blues festival 2006. Great seeing the crowd, we had pretty good water sales, water donated by Sierra Water, our group raising money, National Alliance for the Mentaly Ill, Stanislaus, primary beneficiary this year, California Donor Transplant Network, silent auction guitar was autographed by the players in attendance, had a pretty good bid at the time I left.

Modesto Blues Festival, 2006, includes a benefit for California Donor Transplant Network

The Third Modesto Blues Festival, by JB Presents will be coming up September 9, and tickets, at $25 each, for the day, still available for the all day event at SOS Club, and will have a benefit auction again this year, this time some proceeds will go to the California Donor Transplant Network, and auction items likely again from Skip's music.

No International Festival? Wait until next year?

Is anyone else going to miss this year's International Festival. As a resident of graceada park neighborhood, have come to look for the belly dancers those Board of Supervisors don't like, the kilts, various costumes, music, food, at the park, but apparently this year its called off, as only so much money in the pot, to be held every other year.
