So I guess I stumbled onto the fountain of youth. Last night when I was DJ’ing a High School Dance, and young gal came up to me and requested “Yeah by Usher" I Laughed out load and said, sister are you for sure, that was so last Tuesday.. She said YEAH! Smiles

I’m heading to the front lines

Well, it’s Friday morning and IM getting my battle gear together to head out this weekend to collectively fight cancer! I feel pretty good and my spirit is strong and I am determined to do the best I can for my community and for those who are battling with this dieses. Me, I will be up for 24 hours starting Saturday morning at 9AM till the closing ceremony on Sunday morning at 9AM. Will I get tired? Sure I will; Will I take my body to an extreme? Sure I will; Will I shed a tear at the luminary ceremony? For sure; Will I work hard to make sure everyone is having a great time; Most defiantly; will I lose my voice by Sunday morning? Guaranteed. For me, I look at it as being in an iron man completion for life and the true winners that are in this fight with me are the ones who are suffering from this terrible dieses. They are the one’s who still find the energy to help their kids with their homework after kimo.. They are the ones who still sport a smile to their loved ones when they are in pain; They are the ones that we are fighting for! Please come out and join me tomorrow Modesto!

My Job! Food For Thought

If I wasn’t a DJ I would want to be a Ice Cream Man. How cool is that? First I would build me the coolest Ice Cream Van ever. My thoughts? I would have more different kinds of Ice Creams on it then any other. It would also have a plasma TV built in on one side with my favorite cartoons from the 70’s playing on it and on the other side, it would have a light up ice cream menu. It would defiantly have a monster sound system, tricked out rims and tires, flashy colors and a screaming logo. Yes my friends, it would be one tricked out Ice Cream Van! Although, I don’t think it would make me a million dollars. But that’s OK, I would be as happy with that job as I am being a DJ and entertaining people.

The Warm-up for The American Cancer Society Relay for Life in Modesto happens this Saturday June 14th
On the Bill, it’s Jon Velenti, Alyssa Poppin and Trees and Vines.. It all happens at Queen Bean Coffee House Modesto 95354. Doors open at 6PM and there is a $3.00 donation for the show. Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls!

OMG how excited am I! The Modesto Fitness and Racquet Club just invested over a one hundred thousand dollars in new equipment. They just got a whole lot of this, that and the other thing! OMG I think I’m going to faint!…………………………….................Fainted, OK, I’m back. I went in this evening to finish out my cardio for today and I was floored. All this new equipment is beautiful! I was so thrilled, that even though it wasn’t my lifting day, I just had to try out some of this new equipment. The new treadmills are nice and they have a softer floor to ease the impact of your run. The new lifting equipment has a variety of levels to create more or less resistance in your lift. WOW! If you haven’t been to the Modesto Fitness and Racquet Club lately, you need to check it OUT! Who am I, I’m just a workout maniac and a happy member. Stop by and get a free tour and tell them I sent you. Ask for Phil, AKA The Big Daddy! He Rocks!
