From Sofie, and the dinner and art auction is this evening, but donations accepted. I have a couple in for this, along with a number other modesto area artists, this is a good cause.

Jennifer Williams of Crow Trading sent me an email that Elizabeth Ingebretsen will be showing her watercolors from her trip to Tunisia this month August 21 for the Downtown Modesto Third Thursday Art Walk. Crow Trading is next door to DEVA.

Community Housing and Shelter Services, benefits people seeking emergency housing and Act of Kindness owner Sofie Pettygrove is helping organize this event, and I'm one of the artists in with a donated art work for auction, benefits the CHSS program. Pre Mother's Day Sale, buy art, crafts, local artist and artisan creations, includes kids table for less than big dollars, with percentage benefits the VIP center. Please help support the Stanislaus County Humane Society with Angels' Share Wine Shop. Friday, April 11th, Angels' Share is hosting a beer tasting--Flying Dog Brewery--and raffle fundraiser to help unwanted, abused, and neglected pets. For a $15 tasting fee, you will sample 7 different Flying Dog beers. Angels' Share will donate 33% of your tasting fee to the Humane Society. Angels' Share will also donate 33% of any Flying Dog "bottled" beer sold during the event. Dog and cat themed wine will also be available by the glass, with a portion of sales donated to the Humane Society. $1 raffle tickets will be sold for some great prizes! Please help support this worthy event. Even if you don't drink beer or wine but care about animals, you can help by dropping off a donation check made out to Stanislaus County Humane Society.

This morning I read the Scene, go to the Modestofamous spot, where Marijke and Motown mojo make their comments of the week, 99 words or less from what mojo tells me, and this gray spot to the right, my blog on meeting we did last night....... now you'd think that be too little, too late, but we have more coming up, so excuse to blog results on first of the modesto blues festival and united community walk meetings, this one held at the Alano Club in Ceres.

Artists, Crafters, Call for Artists from the Visually Impaired Persons Support Center, on 14th Street in Modesto, CA across from Act of Kindness (a usual 8 of 12 month Third Thursday Art Walk spot) is holding a fundraiser prior to Mother's Day.
