Modesto Scrabble Club will hold it's first offical gathering on May 7th at the Queen Bean Coffee House in Modesto from 7:00-9:00pm. We then plan to meet every first and third Wednesday (same place, same time). Humans of any age (and that are capable of playing a decent game) are encouraged to join. There is no fee. Players are asked to bring a Scrabble board and official Scrarbble Dictionary. Riverbank Community Theater takes steps to further establish a tradition of the fun time summertime musical as it announces auditions for “Bye-Bye Birdie" on May 3 at 9 a.m. in Escalon.

Last summer RCT re-opened the Del Rio Theater with a rendition of “Oklahoma!" that had the city talking. Five of the six August shows were sold out and numerous people were turned away as word of the outstanding singing, dancing and pageantry spread.

The newly formed record label is seeking recording artists from all musical genres and walks of life to sign and distribute.

These girls are kinda like the Miller and Bud girls meaning they make appearances at Independant music events ect. You can be paid via ticket sales but its mostly to boost your resume and get you into some awesome events for free! Alot of time you will get your hair and makeup done by professionals and you know we all LOVE THAT!!! You must try out to become an Indie girl. Once you are accepted your photo is put on flyers for events, you get a promotional page etc. You could be working just schmmoozing with the crowd or working a VIP room. How fun is that?? You could even be dancing on stage at some of the biggest venues in the Central Valley. Dancing is not required but is definatly wanted/ needed, and we are talking Club type dancing not nudity or anything professional. Seattle, WA – March 12, 2008 – Jake Records is proud to announce the signing of
California-based Not 4 Nothin to the label effective immediately.

Jake Records will be
distributing their new album Something In The Water digitally via iTunes,
Amazon.com MP3, and others in the coming weeks.
Not 4 Nothin, based in California, is hard to peg into a particular category of music. Their
hybrid sound mixes the best of Rock, Hip Hop, R&B and more. Their unique sound has
packed many Northern California solo shows and music festivals. Their live shows
garner rave reviews from publications and fans alike.
The band consists of five close friends, vocalists Josh Roberts and Maria Roberts,
guitarist Nate Miller, bassist Andy Sanchez, and drummer APF Andrew Franca. The
group has been together since mid-2006 and has been refining their signature sound
since. The recent completion of their album Something In The Water is a true
milestone for the group, and is a work they are incredibly proud of.
