Head for the hills, the pier or brush up on your Kung Fu!
Hello Modestans!
I am sitting here thinking about the weekend and listening to the new Tom Petty track, “Saving Grace" and I have to say that I am pretty damn happy. It’s hot as hell in Motown again today but there are a couple of ways to rid yourself of the heat if you want to get away for a while.
Tonight Rob Thomas will rock Ironstone vineyards in Murphy’s and that should be a killer show. I just got off the phone with 93.1 and they told me that tickets are still available at the door. If you really want to get away head for San Francisco tomorrow as The Warped Tour takes over piers 30 and 32 on the bay.
No matter what you do this weekend have some fun! I went with a dozen friends last night to see the new Pirates movie and it was great. Some reviews are poor but it is a thrill ride nonetheless. Johhny Depp and Orlando Bloom may be celebrating the biggest movie opening in history on Monday morning. I would say that they deserve it!
One more thing....If you have the time you may want to get familiar with The Kung Fu Conspiracy this weekend. They could be rocking Motown this year at X-Fest in lieu of Smashmouth! They are throwing a party this weekend to raise funds for their upcoming CD recording release.
