-Mojo
__________
After 22 years of appealing to our area’s sense of taste, Center for Human Services continues to make Edible Extravaganza the Central Valley’s most anticipated food and beverage show. Last year nearly 1,800 people attended the signature event, with this year’s event projected to be just as popular. The 22nd Edible Extravaganza is set for Thursday, September 4, 2008 from 6:00 – 9:00 pm at the Centre Plaza in Downtown Modesto.
As always, Edible Extravaganza will help to raise funds for the local, non-profit, Center for Human Services who provide quality youth and family services throughout our communities. Along with support from their sponsors Prime Shine Express, Save Mart Supermarkets and The Modesto Bee, this year’s event will feature the best restaurants, caterers, bakers, confectioners, vintners, beverage purveyors and local growers that our area has to offer.
The event will feature a Courtyard Reception compliments of Citadel Broadcasting, Clear Channel Communications. This reception will be open to our guests from 5:00 - 6:30 pm., with the doors to the main event opening to the public at 6:00 pm. Featured at the event will be samplings of signature dishes and wines created by over 60 of the area’s newer restaurants and wineries as well as our long-time favorites. In addition, live music will be performed on 3 stages throughout the entire evening.
Center for Human Services is a private, local, non-profit agency, celebrating 38 years of service to Central Valley youth and families. Programs operated by the Center include Hutton House, Friday Night Live, Community Counseling Services, Parent Connection, Pathways, Youth Court, Student Assistance Program and more.
Tickets are $40.00 in advance or $50.00 at the door and can be purchased at all Valley First Credit Union locations, The Modesto Visitors Bureau, Steves Chevrolet/Buick in Oakdale and Center for Human Services by calling 526-1476.
