Since we are giving out brownies here, I thought I would throw one in my self to someone who takes the cake. Hats off to Mr. Chris Murphy for all he does for our community. Many of you may not know this, but Chris does a great deal of work behind the scenes for the love of his community.. He’s not only involved in many charitable events, but has help sculpture our music scene to what it is today..
Oh then theirs the Artist.. Many of them have gotten Chris’s support in one way or another.. I once heard that a musician and a friend of his was strapped for cash for an upcoming tour with his is band. So, he offered to sell Chris Murphy his choice guitar to raise some cash for the tour. Chris Murphy gave him the cash and told him to keep his guitar.. This is just one of many things that I have heard and witnessed for myself..
Oh ya, Chris don’t do the music scene for the money.. In fact his magazine is free for the asking. He does it for the love of Modesto!
Hats off going out to a guy that works his tale off to bring you and me all the 411 you see in The Modesto View and what you hear on MAMA radio.. It’s all local musicians.. Me, I am proud to know him.
As far as brownies goes.. He takes the cake.
