We create friendships!

One of my favorite features of this site is the area in which we display "Famous Photos." These are all user-submitted works and they are all taken from our Flickr.com photo group. I just got a phone call from one of our favorite local photographers, Shootenpicsbob, whose work we feature often. He called to tell me that he had organized a photo expedition heading to Berkley today that will include other members of our photo group.

The greatest thing about this expedition to me is that the participants connected via Modesto Famous and our photo group. That is social networking at it's best! A few of the expedition's photographers will meet for the first time today. The fact that Modesto Famous is helping to bring people together means a great deal to me. I was invited to go on the trip also but I am still home recovering and my parents will be in town this weekend to help me out a bit.

I plan on setting up a special viewing set within our Flickr group that will allow you to see what the expedition comes up with today and I will do the same for other expeditions that are planned in the future. Break out your camera and hit the road with some great new "Famous" friends!
