Auditions For Independent Film
Have you ever dreamed of being in a movie? Do you have some acting chops you want to try out? Or maybe you just want to help an aspiring film director make his mark in the film industry. Then working on an independent live action short may be a great summer project for you.
Tony Conte, a native of Escalon who is now attending Cogswell Polytechnical College in Sunnyvale, is casting for his film "The Revenant" on May 28, 29, 30, 6-9 p.m., in the banquet room of the Del Rio Restaurant, 3300 Atchison St. at Third in Riverbank.
Conte is looking for several actors ranging in age from 18 to 50, to round out the cast of this dark and mysterious short, which is also written by Conte.
Filming begins the end of June and is being shot locally. No experience is necessary but a headshot and resume would be helpful. Actors should come prepared with a 2-minute monologue and be prepared to do a cold reading in front of a video camera.
Conte, is also looking for several extras for the restaurant scene, which is being filmed at Bocelli's Ristorante & Pizzeria in Oakdale. Interested parties must be available for a 5 hour shoot.
