What is up with Aquashi?

I was downtown with a friend on Monday night and we noticed that Aquashi was closed. From the notice on the door, it appears that they have had their license to serve alcohol suspended.

I was a big fan of the sushi there, but I was not big on the dance party/club side of the business. I really hope that they don't close. Where else in town can I get sushi at midnight?

Aquashi

Owner got busted. Miki (McHenry) is the new (McSushi) place. They are trying to do the same as Shi, with the late night sushi and DJ dancing. Me being a regular at Shi, went to Miki last Saturday to check it out with a group of friends. First thing we noticed was the "go-go dancers"...EWWWWW. Then sat down for drinks and rolls...BAD service. It was loud in there, but I was practically waving my arms to order a drink, but she left without paying attention to me! So, I just got up and got my own drink at the bar. The drink was good, and the music was even better, but the sushi and service is no Aquashi.

Miki...

Mo,
I've been a HUGE fan of Miki since...probably 2000 or so. One of my good friends has been a server there for years so, that probably helps my "good " experiences there but, as far as the music, I have not made it down there since their recent remodel therefore??? Anyway, Hope you find your midnight sushi :)As for my favorite thing at Miki...I swear by their sesame chicken!!!

the shi

I wasnt a big fan of aquashi. I am big fan of Sushi Garden. They are only open Mon - Fri 11:30am - 2:15pm, Mon - Sat 5pm - 9pm. Great Vibe, Service & of course Sushi!

Sushi Garden..

I have yet to make it to Sushi Garden but, I have heard nothing but GREAT things about it so, I guess I need to go. Also, I frequent Marie Callender's Happy Hour alot and they share a parking lot. You know a place is good when they're always packed with customers. When Sushi Garden is open...they are ALWAYS PACKED! SO it must be good!

Miki Sushi

Wow thanks Bryan for coming out to Femme Fatales and for the music compliment. I appreciate your opinions about Saturdays event. The number of guests that night exceeded everyones expectations. With the music being something completely new for the establishment, I hope you'll give it another taste. Mikis has always been a Modesto favorite. Im happy to be part of this collaboration and I want people to walk away in good spirits saying "Wow, that place was dope!" It was nice to see you.
