First of these shows, happened October 15, 2007, with about 200 people attending. This time, more artists expected to show, more crowd.

Just a note on the BHRS Advocates, ModestoArtX, Peer to Peer Recovery Art project show tomorrow,
Thursday, April 24, 2008
at Behavioral Health and Recovery Services campus,
800 Scenic,
Modesto, CA
11am to 2 pm.

Our first show, a networking affair was October 5, 2007 with music guests Rachel Renae and Nick Shattell, aka Not an Airplane, and a variety of artists, staff, bhrs clients, friends form the community, NAMI Stanislaus, hosted and originated by Tim White, consumer affairs and Recovery Advocate, and Family Advocate John Black.

Community artists welcome to join us, bring art, portfolio, sit in on art circle, have some snacks, as you'll find some of us, among the set up crew, poster runners, art walkers, and artists on display on Third Thursdays and other events, but involved in art sometimes in volunteer capacity, with behavioral health.   In October we had quite a few people, and it helps get some awareness out there, reminds folks many of us who have a few challenges, still do or enjoy art and music, and a part of the greater community.  Be a few information tables out too. All ages, free event.

So, this event going on, rain or shine tomorrow, Arms of Grace, and Johny and Kelly our music guests, hosts John Black and Tim White, but you'll see the likes of me, Jim Christiansen and Keena Wells, among the artists on display, and some friends of ours out enjoying a helpful new spring event.   We hope you can join us.
