HELP! Moving to the area!

HI

I hope I am in the right place to get some info on the area. I am moving my family down to there from the sacramento area because of my husbands job. I am thinking about the Riverbank area. Can someone please give me some info on that area? I want to know about the highschools. Is there only one highschool?

Thanks!

Hope this helps you.

Riverbank has a population of around 22,000 residents or more. Also, some children do attend the Sylvan School District in Modesto (which is pretty close to Riverbank). The Annual Wine & Cheese Festival is there (which I haven't missed in 10yrs now). And the Galaxy Theaters and a small park that is adjacent to the Stanislaus River. The Crossroads Shopping Center has Home Depot, The Red Robin, a Wells Fargo Bank, Staples, Target and a zillion other shops. Good luck.

Please read this.

We should have 100 comments on this post telling this person all about our wonderful city and surrounding areas. Leave a comment please if there is anything that you would like to say to someone that is new around these parts.

Modesto is a great place to live.

1. You don't have to worry about Hurricanes.
2. You don't have to worry about Tornado's
3. You don't have to worry about the humid Southern heat.
4. You don't have to worry about below zero freezing weather.
5. Modesto is only an hour an a half from the Ocean, Sierra and Capital of California.
6. No Tsunami's either.
7. Powerful Earthquakes? Maybe in the Bay Area or Southern Cali, but not here.
8. We have great restuarants.
9. Downtown Modesto is vibrant. Full of life. Plenty to do on a weekend night. Dining/Movies/Clubbing abounds. Don't forget about the art.
10. Church is everywhere. Name your religion.
11. Award winning school district.
12. Modesto Junior College. And Stanislaus State is only minutes away.
13. Vintage Faire Mall/Plenty of shopping.
14. Need a car? Check out lower McHenry Ave. Acura/BMW/Lexus/Infiniti/Toyota/Honda/Mercedes/Alfred Matthews (I drive a CTS oops).
15. Easy to find a gas station.
16. Easy to meet new friends.

and the best part of it all...MODESTOFAMOUS.COM

Whew!

Lateesha!

Thank you for the love that you have given to our little site. Like we promised, we will be over to wash your CTS tomorrow. :-)

Yes, Riverbank only has one

Yes, Riverbank only has one high school. However, there are two other high schools close by in Modesto: Beyer High School and Enochs High School, both have very good reputations as far as I know. Beyer has the AP programs and Enochs is brand new with state of the art facilities (so I've heard). Don't know how it would work out for you to get your kids into Beyer or Enochs if you're not in their "zone" but it can be done. Not sure what their zones are exactly anyway, but you might be in one of them depending on where you live. Good luck and welcome :)

Actually, I just looked...

Actually, I just looked... and the west side of Riverbank is Enochs High while the East side is Riverbank High. Modesto City Schools recently revised boundaries... here's the map:

The direct link didn't work so I had to right click on the "new boundaries detail map" pdf file and save as... hope this helps.

Welcome to the central valley

I am sure you will love the area you are moving to, Riverbank is a fantastic community a stones throw from Modesto but very much the valley's own "Mayberry". I hope you enjoy your move and settle in to enjoy all we have to offer here.
