Many of you may already know, but about a month ago, a young man named Luis Ramirez was killed in a tragic accident in Yosemite while on a boy scout trip. You can click on the following links for Modesto Bee News coverage.

Luis' family cannot afford to buy a head stone or cover many other expenses. When Luis was a student at Orville Wright last year he was involved in our Friday Night Live (FNL) Program and, like other FNL kids, gave a great deal of his time and effort. We'd like to give some back and will be holding a car wash fundraiser to gather money for his family this Saturday. See the attached flyer for more information
Tragically, 12 year old Luis Ramirez died while hiking near Upper Yosemite Fall above Columbia Point while on a Boy Scout trip. He was a graduate of Orville Wright Elementary School and a 7th grader at La Loma Jr. High School.
