Description: Chuck D, lead rapper of the hardcore revolutionary group Public Enemy, will share his thoughts on race relations and the current state of hip-hop as it faces continuous criticism for promoting violence, materialism and misogyny. Formed in 1982, Public Enemy was one of hip-hop's most influential and controversial acts in the late 1980s and early 1990s. The group often addressed social issues plauging the black community with hits such as "911 Is a Joke" and "Fight the Power."
