If you are a fan of dance music and enjoy a good party, you won't want to be absent from the Fat Cat on Friday Night. Starting at 9:00, a current member of The Black Eyed Peas, Taboo will take to the stage to provide a few hours of pounding hype and excitement.

Friday's show will be the first in a series of monthly events called "Flirt Friday." Bringing a star of this caliber to a place like Modesto is a big deal. I hope that the series succeeds. This really shows that Modesto deserves a spot on the hip-hop circuit and may open the doors for other performers and celebrity DJ's.

There will no doubt be a ridiculous police presence downtown this weekend and I have a feeling that the Fat Cat will be scrutinized, but let's not give them anything to worry about. This event should be a fun party! There should be no reason that anything should go wrong.
