Tresetti's Fat Tuesday, illustrated review

Here's one off the Modesto blues blog, http://www.myspace.com/modesto_blues_fest of the drawings that I had left, after giving out others, rest in our myspace album, going back to skwyd, down to the wine shop for the Tresetti collection....worth it for the VIP ticket to get in and draw.

food great to me, real Mardi Gras menu, spicey, from the hot spiced cornbread, the bread pudding, the hot links, noted the rice, and all the rest of it...... beads,....... more beads..... what a pain to draw the beads right.....

here is that blog, thanks Mitch, Paul, tresetti's crew, had fun. jim

oh, vip bag has those buy one, get one free lunches at tresetti's, concetta's and clayton's. Tokens not sure what they were good for. Would have been naked without beads in bag for Fat Tuesday, didn't see anyone flashing this year,....moon pies, no in plastic, Mitch gave more out, type of cookie....

I had to draw to get into see Robben Ford, Project 59, eat, EARL, ivy lines, Kid Charlemagne, and so did three art friends, Penny Meyer, Jack Morris, Rose Sturgill.... the Blue Monday drawing group at Clayton's, on Tuesdays at Life drawing session, Chartreuse Muse.  so have some leftover drawings, from Tresetti's Fourteenth Annual Fat Tuesday Event, downtown Modesto, on a blocked off Eleventh Street from J Street to I, including Fat Cat, Barking Dog, and all, for music, masques, party.

Election returns on at the bar, sound down, so music prevailed.  Here are some drawings, a couple photos, rest in the http://www.myspace.com/modesto_blues_fest  photo album.  Robben Ford band of course, excellent.  He just rips it.

read osner's column in modesto view

I've been seeing George Osner drop in on us at the Art Walk at State Theatre, and like me, and Efren, Chris asked to write some new column material, with the likes of Greg Edwards, Eric Benson, Aaron Durr, Randy Siefkin, on all kinds of arts, music, film, community stuff, even bike riding, restaurants, etc...... so yeah, I read your column this month, need to read Aaron's again. George mentions reason to ride the bike.

thanks for comment Efren, and the Deva Cafe note, those are nice graphics.

funny how many noted the solo bass drawing from queen bean Chris had put in the prior issue as nice to get some notice as artists, but great to see people recognize where I drew it, what about when doing these sketch at event drawings.

Another Solo Bass Night at Clayton's this time, Feb 28.

Time to work on new poster for that, art walk, at State, and Clayton's so back to work. Friends of Fat Tuesday, come out and see all the venues on the art walk, and stop in on our table at AmGen Bike Race, which goes right by Tresett's corner after down tenth from Gallo Center, up K down 11th, at Tresetti's goes left up J Street to 15th and the McHenry Mansion, down I, til finally on way to Mt Hamilton.
