Last year, Berkeley based RASPUTIN MUSIC AND MOVIES expanded into the Central Valley by purchasing the leases of 2 Former TOWER RECORDS locations in STOCKTON and FRESNO. If anyone doesn't know what Rasputins is, It is the coolest most ECLECTIC music(CD's, Records and Cassettes) and video store(DVD, VHS,Beta and Laserdisc). They have locations all through the Bay Area and just recently expanded into the Central Valley. I wonder if anyone from Modesto has ever been to Rasputin's, whether it be the new Central Valley stores in Stockton or Fresno or any of the stores in the Bay Area? I wonder if Rasputin's would be welcome in Modesto if they open a store there? Last I heard, SALTY'S RECORD ATTIC is a local legend in Modesto. In Stockton, the new RASPUTIN'S is killing the locally owned REPLAY RECORDS. Who knows how long Replay will last? Would a Modesto Rasputin's kill Salty's or can they co-exist?
