Cruise N Good are back!

This is awesome news for our community! I guess that the only bad part is that I will actually have to figure out how to use my alarm clock! So, when is the big party to celebrate the queens coming back to their to their thrones?

Good luck ladies!

Its about time.

What amazes me is that this station didn't hire them back sooner after they saw the ratings drop. Now that Our girls are back, I know that when I wake up in the morning I wont be hittin snooze or shuttin off that alarm anymore.

Love you Girls

Gravel,

Hopefully the sound of B93 will be tweaked?

Hopefully, Angie, as KOSO new P.D., She will tweak the format of B93? Go from Pop Alternative to Rock Alternative? Lately, B93 sounded alot like KHOP@95.1. You need to position B93 between Modern AC and Alternative Rock, especially since Modesto has been without a Rock Station since 2005. Also Do not drop Dave Mazzey's RETRO BISTRO, the only thing entertaining on that station!

Retro Bistro

Keep the bistro. It's about all I ever listen to on B93.

Hungry For More

For sure! if I’m going to have a listen, it’s going to be the retro bistro with Mazzie. My wife & I enjoy it from time to time.
In fact, last year I sponsored it for a short while. Here be the plugs! www.thequakedj.net it’s on line, its European Retro and it commercial free. & yes! its free!
Oh ya! Be plugging some of our local flavor there too.
Have a stream of listeners right now from all over the world.
Thank you!!& Enjoy Friends

Expand The Retro Bistro!!!!!

In fact, I hope Angie will expand the Bistro! How about a SUNDAY NIGHT RETRO BISTRO 6:PM-MIDNIGHT, 6 Hours of the Best Retro Rock and Pop out there in addition to the daily Lunchtime Bistro. Sometimes, One Hour is just TOO LITTLE time. I would suggest a 24 Hour Retro Format, but it was tried before on KHOP from 2000-02 as PLANET 95. Remember Them?

Smiles & for sure

Smiles and for sure, looking forward to some great new things over there. May considering on moving some of my advertising dollars over there once again in 08 Thanks for the post.
Have a wonderful week!

I guess everybody has a price!

Wow, You guys started your own online radio station to fight "The Man" now your back working for the man. Well, everybody has a mortgage to pay I guess. However, it's not always the same when the band gets back together, but that's not the fault of Cruise and Good. Anyone under the Clear Channel umbrella still gets drenched. Too many other parts of the puzzle that made B93 great have moved on, so it's going to be an uphill battle to win us over, and it's a big hill.

Over Exposed?

Mr Quake DJ, the only place I see you around is on this website. Get over yourself and what you have done in the past. As a mobile dj I have shared a few of your clients, always after you because they said the would never hire you or your dj's again, so first of all thanks for the business keep on doing what your doing. Just thought I would let visitors know that just because your the only DJ Mojo allows to advertise on this site doesn't make you the best. People please shop around when it comes to finding the best DJ for your event, but please avoid "THE QUAKE" (one defination of "a quake' is "instability") makes since on this one.

Life is a up hill battle

Life is an uphill battle at times and change is good. They say verity is the spice of life. but hey, what the heck do they know.. Smiles I don’t do buffets

I personally welcome change and look to conquer all my up hill battles. Keep up the great work ladies and lets strive to make our community better and closer.

When did I state that the only DJ that could advertise here is The Quake? Tell us about your business. This is a public forum.

Unknown DJ - I Loved The Quake

The Quake was the DJ at one of our family functions and did a superb job! Efren spent time with us before the function to find out what we wanted in music, announcing, etc. His music selections to choose from were amazing! He made some suggestions to incorporate into the evening to provide a little extra fun for all. His verbal banter at the function increases everyone's enjoyment! He delivered what we paid for and more. He did so with flair and a style that helped make our function a huge success!
Competition is a good thing! Slamming a competitor is not! If you want to win business - prove yourself with your performance!

Achy Quake-y DJ

Yours is the first positive feedback I have heard regarding the Quake mobile dj, so I guess all I can say is....consider yourself lucky. I was just warning people of so-called "DJ's" who fax documents and then show up the day of the event to collect the cash while leaving behind an inexperienced, young DJ that doesn't know what to play, how to get a crowd going and why talking on a cell phone during the function isn't good for business. As far as competiton being a good thing, it is when there actually is competition, but thanks to the lack of customer committment from the Quake, I haven't lost any events to them which makes competition moot. Also if they have faith in the other DJ's they employ why can't we learn about them on the Quakes website. The only dj mentioned is Efran. This will be my last post on this because this site does have a lot of positive postings and I don't want to weigh it down, I was just informing people to shop around and by visitng this site you get the impression that only one Mobile DJ service is allowed acccess to advertise, making them the only choice you should make. All in all I see this site as a bite "clicky" and it's who you know. Late...

Gun Smoke

Thanks very much for the kind words friends, all I can say is that my name is Efren J and I have been in business since 1990 and I am currently booking events for 2009/2010 Thanks be to God for all of his blessings and thanks be to all who have helped us reach our goals. Indecently, I do encourage everyone to shop around and to choose an entertainment service that best fits their needs. One of our best compliments is when a returning client comes back to us for their families 2nd and 3rd weddings. Oh sunny, I haven’t gotten any calls since the last time we spoke from those telling me that they are coming in to town to put me out of business. Giggles ya that was so funny, I felt like I was in an episode of Gun Smoke..

Public Forum, Unknown

Unknown,
I could have sworn that this site's Editor explained this is a public forum and anyone could post their advertising. So - why don't you take advantage of that opportunity and stop whining and pointing fingers?
I have only met Efren a couple of times - to go over what we wanted for our function and the night of our function. To my knowledge I don't know anyone else that posts to this site personally. Sure there are some "regulars" that post to the site a lot, but so what. I find them to be informative and knowledgeable about what is going on around town so it's helpful to me. I also find the regulars to be friendly and responsive to any posts that are placed on this site. I don't find this site to be "clicky" at all. I really like this site and the information I find on it, regardless of who puts it here.
OH, The Quake has a committed customer in me. Next time I need a DJ for another function - I will again be calling on THE QUAKE!

Dear Mr. Unknown DJ

I would like to take a moment and ask you to think for a second here. As a part time DJ myself I have heard good AND bad about ALOT of DJ services here in town. And I would like to address a few of your so called problems with the Quake DJ Service..

First of all Modesto Famous has always been a free forum for people to talk about WHATEVER they want to .. weather it be about the rain, politics, or to promote an event or buisness. The only so called Censorship I have ever seen is when someone has gone WAY to far over the line and it could cause a legal issue about something. And that is NOT usually MoJo's call. Its up to the oweners of the site which is the Modesto Bee.

Now.. I personally know Efren and know he is a WONDERFUL HUMAN BEING! And he is not Young..as we went to High School together and I am no spring chicken..hehe.. AND He is NOWHERE NEAR inexperianced as I know he has been doing it for Many Many years. HOWEVER I have never personally seen him DJ an event. But that being said.. I know that everyone has different tastes and prefrences when it comes to a DJ. As with any buisness people always have an occation unhappy customer for "some" reason. It could be they miscommunicated their prefences, had a bad day and took it out on others ect. You have NO Idea what the reasons were behind the complaints except for heresay.

Until you witness someones work in person you have no right to defame their business. As a competing DJ and Wedding Officiant.. even though I dont really choose to advertize it often on this site as I dont do it on a full time buisness, I would never EVER diss someones livleyhood without having a personal experiance to back it up.

Its like saying a restruant is bad without ever going there or eating their food. It just makes NO sense.

SO go ahead.. Advertize away and good luck to you in your endeavors.. this is a free site and always has been. And there is plenty of business for us all!! But please PLEASE dont diss someones work you have never experianced. It shows very little class to do so.

Good luck to you.. and take a moment tomorrow to make someone smile...it can do wonders for the soul!!
